A dummy artillery piece. It looks like it had been there for some time before the picture was taken. There are flowers growing all around it.

This is a 21 cm Mörser 10. It is fitted with shoes to help travel over soft ground.

Bhf. Wygonoschtschi

Some fully loaded wagons on flat bed rail cars. The sign on the station reads Bhf. Wygonoschtschi. I think that this is just north of what is now Cielechany in Belarus. Then part of the Russian Empire but occupied by Germany during the war.

A 10.5 cm leichte Feldhaubitze 16 with crew. 3044 of these field howitzers saw service during the war.

15 cm schwere Feldhaubitze 1902

A crew with their 15 cm schwere Feldhaubitze 1902. A heavy field howitzer that was in the German arsenal at the beginning of the war.
This card has the name Lancelot Willison written on the back. I found a record of a US Army veteran with that name buried at the Cypress Hills National Cemetery. Perhaps he brought this card back with him after serving overseas.
