Royal Garrison Artillery

A veteran group from the Royal Garrison Artillery. A majority of them have overseas service stripes. Among the insignia that can be seen are skill-at-arms badges for Gun Layer and Signaler, trade badges for Artillery and one for a Saddler & Collarmaker. A couple of them also have wound stripes.

Colonial Infantry Regiment

A group from a French Colonial Infantry Regiment. Seated front right is the bugler. He is easier to identify by the stripes on his sleeves than the bit of the bugle showing between his legs.

Niš (Nisch) was the wartime capital of Serbia. It was occupied by the Central Powers from November 1915 to October 1918. Pictured are German troops in what may be a medal presentation.
