A young father from the 22nd Infantry Regiment. The 22nd spent the war in home guard action. First seizing German ships in New York harbor. Company L spent some time at the Frankford Arsenal, Pennsylvania supplying guards for Cramp's Shipbuilding Company in
Philadelphia, PA and Gloucester, NJ.
